About the event

MAKE A MESS is this season's theme of the Mindful Days from Home virtual retreat. We are taking you to a three-hour virtual getaway to disconnect from the everyday world and reconnect with the self from the comforts of your own home. This time, we will be using creative expression through reflections, painting, and journaling. We're living in a strange, complex and challenging time and it is important to to take moments to -- Reflect, Reconnect, Rediscover & MAKE A MESS!

This is perfect for anyone looking to relax and let go, those in a life transition (moving places, new life roles, relationship changes, dealing with any major changes affecting daily life), those looking for a 'digital detox', and just anyone looking to practice being and appreciating the "here and now". No requirements and qualifications to join. Open to adults 21 and above. All you need is an open mind and an open heart to let go of all things that don't serve you well.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS

Therese Castillo, Rpsy is the founder and creator of Camp Coco Wellness Alternatives. She is a licensed psychologist with nine years of experience in the clinical practice and specializes in individual and group psychotherapy, addiction treatment and recovery management. She is also currently working as a Project Manager for the Colombo Plan – Drug Advisory Programme , an international organization working with country governments to provide programs on drug demand reduction. In 2018, she founded Camp Coco to create programs on mental health and wellness that are accessible, engaging and enjoyable. She also recently launched Daily Mood - intentional wellbeing in a box for your moment of pause.

Jaymee Duran is an Artist and Mental Health Advocate. She has been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder since February 2009. Because of this, the issue of Mental Health has been more personal to her. She uses her gift of art to inspire and share well-being to others.

She’s in her early 30’s and like everyone else, stuck at home due to the pandemic. Aside from Mental Health, she like cats (I’m a fur-mom to Sir Migo, an adult rescue cat), music, reading, and writing.
